Your chats, full history, in any XMPP app
- new Connect Dino, Conversations, or any XMPP app once on the Connect page and your conversations open there with their complete history, not just new messages. Scrolling back reaches the very first message, even in chats that went quiet long ago.
- new Your list of chats stays the same everywhere: new conversations show up in the app on their own, deleted ones disappear, and a one-time "Sync all conversations" button on the Connect page brings a brand new device up to date.
Any modern chat app that speaks XMPP can now be a window into your bespoke conversations. Set one up once on the Connect page and the chats you already have open there too, whole and intact: scroll back in a conversation that went quiet weeks ago and every message is there, down to the very first one. The history arrives over the same standard protocol the app already uses, so there is nothing to configure and nothing extra to install.
The list of chats travels too. When someone new writes in, the conversation shows up in the app on its own. Delete it on the website and it disappears from the app as well. And a brand new device comes up to date with one press of Sync all conversations on the Connect page.
The website remains home base. Chats and your XMPP app are two windows onto the same threads: send from either side and it lands in both, with the full history kept on the website no matter what.
