Reactions stick around
- improved Emoji reactions no longer disappear when either side refreshes the page.
Emoji reactions were ephemeral for a while: leave a thumbs up, refresh the page, and it was gone. The reaction lived only in the browsers that saw it arrive, so anything that reloaded the conversation started from a blank slate.
Reactions are now part of the conversation's record. They are stored alongside the messages they belong to, so a refresh, a revisit, or a look from another device shows every reaction exactly where it was left, and both sides see the same thing.
