Invite teammates with a link
- new Team has a second way to grow: "Invite with a link" mints a single-use invitation that creates a brand-new bespoke account for whoever opens it, already on your team with the access you picked. No signup page, no finding their email first.
- new Senders of the link who already have a bespoke account see a one-click accept instead of a sign-up form; everyone else gets the normal email-and-password form with the invitation's scope spelled out up front.
- new Every invitation works exactly once and expires after 24 hours. Pending ones are listed in Team with their scope and remaining life, can be re-copied while unclaimed, and can be revoked any time.
Adding a teammate used to be a two-person dance: they had to find bespoke, sign up on their own, and then you added them by email. Team now mints invitation links instead. Pick the access exactly like adding someone by email (every link, or just the ones you choose), hit "Invite with a link", and send the URL to your teammate by whatever channel you already use.
Whoever opens it lands on a page that says whose team they're joining and exactly what the invitation grants, before anything is committed. If they don't have an account yet, the page is a short sign-up form: email, password, done. Their account is created, their dashboard URL is shown once, and they're already on your team; they never visit the signup page at all. If they do have an account and are signed in, the same link becomes a single "Accept invitation" button.
Invitations are deliberately cautious objects. Each works exactly once, lives for 24 hours, and can be revoked from the Team section while it's unclaimed. The list shows every pending invitation with its scope and remaining life, and the link stays re-copyable there until someone claims it, so handing it over in person or over chat are equally fine. A leaked link can't outlive its scope, its day, or its single use.
