Custom addresses for your chat links
- new Pro members can claim a custom address for a chat link: your page at bespoke.talk/c/your-word instead of a random string. Set it from the link's Appearance page under "Link address"; lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens, 3 to 30 characters. The original random address keeps working, so nothing you've already shared breaks.
Every chat link gets a random address, like bespoke.talk/c/sc8f321pkj95938z. It works, but it is not a thing you would put on a business card.
Pro members can now claim a word instead. On a link's Appearance page, in the Status section, "Link address" takes a custom word: lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens, 3 to 30 characters, and it must start and end with a letter or number. Claim it and the page answers at bespoke.talk/c/your-word; the dashboard's share links and QR codes switch to it automatically.
Two details worth knowing:
The old address never stops working. The custom word is an alias, not a rename, so anywhere you have already shared the random URL keeps opening the same chat. Nothing to migrate, nothing breaks.
One word, one link, first come first served. If the word is taken (someone else claimed it, or it is reserved, like "login" or "support"), the page tells you and you pick another. You can change your word or release it at any time; a released word goes back into the pool.
Custom addresses are a Pro feature. On a free account the field explains that and points you to the plan card.
