Chat pages that stand tall

  • improved Chat pages now fill the height of your screen: the box you type into sits at the bottom of the window, and all the space in between belongs to the conversation.
  • improved Every conversation page now says who you are talking to right in the browser tab, instead of the site's tagline.
  • new People who open your link see one quiet line telling them where they landed: you shared this link so they can message you, with no signup and no email.

The page people landed on when they clicked your link wasted a third of the window. The conversation sat in a box sized by guesswork, the box you type into floated mid-screen, and dead space padded everything.

The real page: the conversation fills the window and the composer sits at the bottom edge
The real page: the conversation fills the window and the composer sits at the bottom edge

The page now fills the height of the screen. The composer is pinned to the bottom of the window and everything in between belongs to the conversation, on phone or desktop, including when the phone's address bar hides and shows itself.

Two quieter touches rode along. The browser tab now says who the conversation is with, taken from your link's label, instead of the site's tagline. And someone opening your link for the first time sees one quiet line explaining where they landed: you shared this link so they could message you, with no signup and no email.
